good set for the price August 4, 2010 trevisbest (alexandria, in United States) purchased the equivalent wd60735 2 years ago.The lamp just went out.I did a stupid thing though,I got this from HH gregg instead of amazon.Been waiting 2 weeks for service.Do not buy anything from HH gregg, their service sucks big time.TRhe set is good, not as good as the now discontined Sony rear projection, but still ok....And 3d supported.
Excellent July 31, 2010 Amazon Loyal Customer This is our third Mitsubishi. We are loyal because they are good solid TV's.
This one is a champion. We like the picture, remote is just fine.
Good experience, and recommended.
Great for the price July 4, 2010 Henry 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The cost-benefit for this TV is amazing. Before I buy, I was not willing to consider a DLP, but due to good reviews and good price I've bought from Amazon and did not regret. Amazing acquisition for the price.
PROS
- Picture quality
- Conectivity
- PRICE, PRICE, PRICE (in fact near 1/3 of a equivalente size Plasma/LCD TV)
CONS:
- Not as thin as Plasma/LCD
- Could not be mounted on a wall
- Picture not as good as an LCD TV, but better colors.
UPDATE Aug 31 - 2010:
Now I have the 3D Starter Kit from Mitsubishi. The 3D image is immersive and works great with the PS3. Highly recommended!!!
Great TV, great price June 27, 2010 transce080 (Cleveland, OH) The Good
# Beautiful 1080p picture
# Reasonably priced at $800
# 3 HDMI inputs, 1 coax
# No motion blur, no burn-in
# HDTV tuner
# Built-in universal remote (worked for both my Toshiba DVD player and JVC stereo)
# In-Depth color adjustments
# Much better horizontal viewing angle than my previous model (62" 1080i WD-62725)
# Remote control has improved form factor over previous model
# Unit isn't as deep as previous model
# Half the weight of previous model
The Bad
# No RCA, SVIDEO, or VGA inputs (no RCA??!!) instead 2 (semi-useless) component inputs
# No Picture-in-Picture
# No screen protector (reduces glare at the cost of decreased screen protection)
Additional Thoughts
Due to the lack of RCA and SVIDEO inputs, I couldn't hook up half my entertainment system without using an external video switcher. It seems like sheer idiocy to leave out RCA inputs since they are still the most common output method among video devices.
I had a hard time buying this item. I purchased from Amazon first and it arrived with a damaged screen. Amazon was out of stock so they couldn't refill my order. The refund took two or three weeks to come back. Bestbuy had one in stock but refused to ship to Cleveland. Finally I found the TV in stock at Dell.com and managed to save another $100 over the Amazon price but had to pay tax on top of it which came to roughly of half the savings.
Awesome HDTV that kills all others in Bang 4 your bucks. June 20, 2010 Norman Griffith 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This TV is awesome! I bought it site unseen based on other reviews and the positive reviews are correct.
The sound is more than adequate and the video is out of this world. I ordered the Component Wii cables from Amazon as well as a DVI to HDMI cable and an HDMI cable. Hookup was so simple. As soon as you plug in the device and turn it on the TV detects it and switches to the input. It then asks you to choose what it is for better reference.
I have a PC, Bluray, Wii, DVD ( I sure wish Bluray was more reliable with DVDs)and a Dish network DVR hooked up and still have room for another component on the side.
I can't stress enough how much of a better value this is than Plasma, LCD and LED.
A new Lamp is only $100 bucks and easy to replace on your own so it is still more cost effective then any other product.
It really does have a small footprint and is very light so don't let the DLP thing fool you.
This TV is a steal and runs on half the power of an LCD or Plasma.
Buy it!!!!
